Snoopers Paradise has several of these boxes, all with thousands of slides in. I make it my business to now go in there every few days and take a quick peek, buy a couple of slides and add them to the collection.

How long have you lived in Brighton and what brought you to be there?

Parents mostly - after a divorce I ended up moving down to Worthing (this was several years ago) and I’ve been attending City College Brighton since September 2010.

I’ve always loved Brighton though, I used to go there a lot with my dad when I was younger. It’s got quite a hold on me, be it for the eccentric characters, the marvellous cafes or excellent shopping districts.

It’s a lovely place to live - never far from London either (50 minutes via train).

I am in Brighton for a couple of days next week and the week after, anything you would suggest doing there?

I’m not sure how much stuff you’ve done in Brighton. Make sure you check out Snoopers Paradise - and the North Laines in general - and pop into Lick Frozen Yogurt. There’s also the Brighton Farm Market, which is a good place to check out, especially on a Saturday when second market takes place on the road opposite.

Remember to look down the South Lanes for many excellent cafes - particularly Marwood Studios, and Tic Toc (ask for the chocolate brownies, they’re from heaven) — there’s also the Angel Foods Bakery which has a very mouth-watering selection of freshly baked cupcakes, and a number of sweet shops dotted around.

Perhaps you fancy a very hearty breakfast, try Cafe Motu which served up a fabulous full English. Make sure you check out the website ‘Brighton Breakfast’ for reviews on various breakfast serving establishments.

If you wish for a little spot of tea, make sure to venture out to Cream Tea for central Brighton (around the Pavilion), and The Tea Cosy in Kemptown.

Pubs! I particularly like The Bees Mouth for its excellent selection of beers - go on a Monday evening and watch the awesome live jazz ensemble and the ridiculous violinist - it also has plenty of individual rooms, and a cinema!

The main tourist attractions is the Sea-life Centre and the Brighton Pier - they’ve recently erected a ferris wheel, but it’s quite pricey.

Brighton isn’t short of fantastic nightlife hotspots, but as I’m not exactly old enough to comment on what they’re like I will refrain from doing so.

Hope you find this useful. All choices are a matter of my opinion, they’re not quite the touristy norm but you might enjoy them.
